WHY CITROËNS?

This is a good question especially if you haven't driven a *real* Citroën yet. Citroën cars are unique, non-conventional interesting cars and they also give you some riding joy, comfort and some excitement. I am talking about Xantia, CX, BX, XM, SM, AMI, 2CV, AX, DS, GS Traction Avant and all other real Citroën models here. Those cars produced by a unique concept of *travellers comfort first* along with a unique technique *hydropneumatics*, you can understand what I mean comparing these models by German and Japanese cars better. There is a great site for all Great Citroen models, you can see all those great cars in that site, Thanks Mr. Moors. Citroën cars production line ruled by inventors until PSA bought Citroën, those cars are still around and concept is still there and tried to be copied by some other companies (Such as Mercedes). PSA also finally understood uniqueness of the concept and try to put C3 and C6 Lignage into the production line again. First of all I take all those models as *hobby* cars too. If you would like to get the best from those cars, better be prepared to seek and grab lot more information as you do on average cars. And I swear they are really *Exciting cars* really. I forgot to tell they are beautiful too. If you would like to read a considerably short Citroën History and what makes Citroën so special, click here. If you are not in Citroens yet I know what you think, I am a Citroën freak right? Well you are probably right)

MY CITROËN BX STORY:

I've bought my BX on May-1998, it was one of the three BX's in town, I got her because had a quite enough experience with one of my my friends BX about 10 years ago and I was impressed with the cushy driving and spacious inside of the BX. I left my country for post-grad education and always remembered&missed that BX even when I driving rent brand-new cadillacs. Recently one of our senior faculty had decided to sell his BX and I caught the opportunity & bought her immediately. She was a 1990 BX16RE no air-con&power-steering. Soon realized that the car was maintained by many Citroën illiterate mechanics and still suffering from some problems, but it was running ok though. I did know almost nothing about BX so I immediately headed to Citroën service in town. They are very helpful people but they just opened the sales office and service just after breaking apart from Renault, and the mechanics had not much experience with BX (Their improvement is quite impressive now). So I plunged into the Internet if I can find any info about BX, I found the Citroën email list group in Canada, subscribed, and got lots of help This group still exists in yahoogroups, *Thanks Friends*. You can subscribe this list by clicking the line. Then I had to find BX manuals and I found them on the Internet too, but the process of the getting information about BX was not easy, spending days in the Internet, waiting for answers cautiously, ordering books, etc. To make long story short I've decided to open a BX web page for BX owners and Citroen fans like me to help them to maintain their BX's *right* as much as possible, another saying sharing my experiences with the others. Why I am doing that? Because I found several hundards of BX page on the Internet but less than 10 of them is useful for maintenance, others just put out to petting their own and cars ego (I also believe they have rights to do so), not useful at all for a newbie, so I had to spent my *weeks* to find help and information. This gave me the idea I need to share my experiences with other people. I mainly intend to help BX people, you'll see all useful things on *this site* I know of, I'll try, you do not have to mess around the pages back and forth which you have no bloody idea what they are. As you can easily understand I am an average informed Citroen fan, far from being a Citro-Whiz, in some cases I need help too. So let's call this page as an interactive BX help page. I would help anyone who wants to put web page(s) or information in this server if their pages are related to Citroën enthusiasm (any model). I am expecting your comments on this web page and questions too of course, just lemme know. WILL YA?
